"[ _ ]" is a collaborative song between artist / producer / songwriter Alone Architect, and singer / songwriter / producer Roniit. The song was inspired by a conversation that was being held between the two, which immediately and spontaneously escalated into them writing it on the spot.

Featuring the silky vocals of Roniit and produced by Alone Architect, “[ _ ]” is about taking back power from someone you gave your love and energy to.

A placeholder is someone who is simply filling space, they are meaningless but meant to fill the void until something more meaningful comes along.

The song is about transcending heartbreak and coming to the realization that the person who broke your heart was just representing the love you crave, but not the one you should fall in love with. By realizing someone is simply filling space until true love comes along you’re able to let go. You’re able to find peace without having them in your life, but you’re also able to find peace and a healthy detachment when you do have them in your life.

I like everything about this band. It's often like the better triphop, à la Portishead (plus, reminds me of the fragile voice of Beth Gibbons as well), but it ventures in many other directions too. sometimes the songs remind me of Kelly Ali, sometimes Mandalay, sometimes Lamb... all of these being excellent bands with a unique sound & genre. bli
